Out and about...
Newquay
has some of the finest beaches in the UK. There are several to visit during
your stay here. The beaches are Fistral, Towan, Tolcarne, Great Western,
Lusty Glaze (all within walking distance from the Hillcrest) and just outside
Newquay there are Crantock, Porth, Whipsiderry and Watergate Bay. All beaches
are clean and sandy and are patrolled by lifeguards during the season.
Also
available is surfing from the amateur right up to the professional. You
can learn to surf on most of these beaches and there are plenty of surf
hire shops to rent surfboards, wetsuits or have some lessons. Newquay plays
host to many surfing competitions including the British Surf Championship.There
a huge number of attractions and listed below are some of the many you can
enjoy whilst staying here in Newquay. There are many pubs and clubs to enjoy
